The Lakewood Historical Society provides a wide variety of services to the community, including:

  • Maintaining a photo-file collection of over 8,000 images
  • Ohio Heritage summer program for children
  • In-school talks, special displays and "traveling trunks" for use in classrooms
  • Information to any citizen who makes a request, i.e., house histories, historical information on settlers, buildings, streets, etc.
  • Special tours to groups
  • Slide show presentation

Your Membership:
Promotes the study of regional cultural heritage especially as it pertains to Lakewood and Rockport Township.
Promotes historical preservation in Lakewood, including the upkeep and continued restoration of the Nicholson House and maintenance of the Oldest Sone House Museum.
Enables the Society to continue its programming within the Lakewood community.
