Support the Lakewood Historical Society with your secure online contribution.

General contributions are applied to the society's general operating funds and support our mission based programming and care of our three historic properties and collections.

The Margaret Manor Butler Endowment Fund is a permanent endowment fund held at the Cleveland Foundation (Click to contribute through the Cleveland Foundation directly). The investment return from pooling these funds with other non-profit endowments allows for an annual draw off the interest into perpetuity.

The Preservation Fund of the Lakewood Historical Society is used to financially assist the preservation or rehabilitation of historically or architecturally significant buildings or structures (including fixtures) in the City of Lakewood.

Volunteers are essential to the activities of the Lakewood Historical Society. From fundraising to service on the Board of Trustees, and from administrative tasks to collections work, there is a place to explore your interests.

Century Home Builder Program

The Lakewood Historical Society Preservation Committee developed the Historic Lakewood: Century Home Project, designed to recognize each house in the city that turns one hundred, one hundred ten, one hundred twenty or more years old that year. Owners of houses reaching one of those milestones receive a birthday card, a certificate and a whole packet of other information for their house. These packets began in 2017 and will continue to be mailed out each year, until all houses in Lakewood reach 100 years of age and have been recognized.

This project is partially funded by the Lakewood Historical Society, individual commercial sponsors provide the rest of the needed funding. However, you, as a member of the Lakewood Historical Society, may also wish to support the project by becoming a Builder.
